PUBLIC HEARINGS NOTICE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROJECT

The Conway Board of Selectmen will hold three consecutive Public Hearings on June 18, 2013, 4:15 p.m. at The Conway Town Offices, 1634 East Main Street, Center Conway, New Hampshire 03813. Community Development Block Grant funds are available to municipalities through the NH Community Development Finance Authority. Up to $500,000 annually is available for economic development, up to $500,000 for public facility and housing projects, and up to $350,000 for emergency activities. Up to $12,000 is available per each planning study grants. All projects must directly benefit a majority of low and moderate income persons. The public hearings will hear public comment on the following:

1. A proposed application to the Community Development Finance Authority for up to $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant Housing Funds. The CDBG funds will be subgranted to Great Bridge Properties, LLC or an affiliate, for sitework in support of 30 units of affordable senior housing on Poliquin Drive in Conway (Conway Pines Housing). The town will retain up to $25,000 for administrative costs.

2. The Housing and Community Development Plan.

3. and the Residential Antidisplacement and Relocation Assistance Plan.

Provisions for persons with special needs can be made by contacting the Town Manager's Office, via telephone or mail, at least five days prior to the public hearing.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Notice to Town of Conway Residents

When plowing driveways, please be advised that it is against Town Ordinance to deposit snow or ice onto town roads. Please do not push snow from driveways across and/or onto town roads.

Town of Conway Ordinance, Chapter 127-1, specifically prohibits any person from depositing or causing to deposit snow or ice on public streets.

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS

1. No person shall park a vehicle on any street from 12:00 midnight to 8:00 a.m. during the winter snow removal period, beginning November 15 and ending April 15 of each year.

2. The Board of Selectmen may reduce the No Parking hours during the snow removal period from 12:00 midnight to 8:00 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in certain areas containing establishments with liquor licenses. Official signs shall be erected in areas so designated.

3. The Town will not be liable for any damage to any vehicle that may be in violation of this ordinance.

DEPOSIT OF SNOW ON STREETS OR HIGHWAYS

No person or persons shall deposit or cause to be deposited snow or ice upon the streets or public highways with the Town of Conway. Any person violating the aforesaid ordinances shall be fined a sum not exceeding twenty dollars ($20.00).

The Town of Conway will not be responsible for any damage or destruction of appurtenances to property placed in the right-of-way of any town highway during winter plowing and snow removal operations. These appurtenances include, but are not limited to, mailboxes, fences, hedges, trees, shrubs, landscape timbers, grass or turf.

WINTER REMINDER TO PROPERTY OWNERS
FROM THE GOVERNOR'S COMMISSION ON DISABILITY PARKING COMMITTEE

It is illegal to pile snow into an accessible parking space or access aisle.

Accessible parking spaces and access aisles must be cleared within 24 hours of an adverse weather event.

Signs designating accessible parking spaces and access aisles that are relocated for the purpose of snow removal must be immediately returned after the weather event.

The route of travel from the accessible parking to the accessible building entrance must be kept clear of snow and ice.

Obstruction of an access aisle or parking place reserved for persons with a walking disability carries a fine of up to $250. (RSA 265:74-a)
