PUBLIC HEARINGS NOTICE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROJECT
The Conway Board of Selectmen will hold three consecutive Public Hearings on June 18, 2013, 4:15 p.m. at The Conway Town Offices, 1634 East Main Street, Center Conway, New Hampshire 03813. Community Development Block Grant funds are available to municipalities through the NH Community Development Finance Authority. Up to $500,000 annually is available for economic development, up to $500,000 for public facility and housing projects, and up to $350,000 for emergency activities. Up to $12,000 is available per each planning study grants. All projects must directly benefit a majority of low and moderate income persons. The public hearings will hear public comment on the following:
1. A proposed application to the Community Development Finance Authority for up to $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant Housing Funds. The CDBG funds will be subgranted to Great Bridge Properties, LLC or an affiliate, for sitework in support of 30 units of affordable senior housing on Poliquin Drive in Conway (Conway Pines Housing). The town will retain up to $25,000 for administrative costs.
2. The Housing and Community Development Plan.
3. and the Residential Antidisplacement and Relocation Assistance Plan.
Provisions for persons with special needs can be made by contacting the Town Manager's Office, via telephone or mail, at least five days prior to the public hearing.
